A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Not a Ho Hum Day

This picture is not too clear...taken with a phone camera. It shows how happy little Drake is.
What a cold, damp and dreary day today. I had some nice things to do today, however. First I went over to Church and decorated for Palm Sunday. We decorated with red altar cloths and I made up some containers with palms, forsythia, pussy willow, and curly willow branches. We kept this as our theme...so these items were used in many places. We have two walls draped with red cloths and raffia holding the pleats together...wish I had taken a picture. The little kids were kept busy hauling rocks in the back door and out the front, with a dolly, to put at the base of our old wooden cross. The doors were all adorned with palms and crosses made out of dried material. I had to use brown tape to hold the door pieces down in the wind.

I stopped at the store to buy some things to make little chocolate treats with jelly beans for the grand kids. I'll show these tomorrow.

We were just sitting...relaxing and getting ready for dinner, when the door bell rang. Joe's grand kids, Dave, Ashley, Brandon and the baby stopped for a visit. Little Drake was our entertainment for the afternoon. He is the cutest thing. All bright and happy...starting to crawl, he sits up now and holds his own bottle. He uses his hands and arms all the time, when he is "talking" Grandpa Joe says he's all Italian. We visited for a couple of hours and then it was time for them to leave.

Now we are getting ready for Mass. What started out as a ho hum day...turned into something really fun. Have a great weekend...

What a cutie pie. This is such a huggable, lovable age. You just want to hold them all the time. He is really a doll baby!

Oh, how cute! I couldn't keep my eyes off a little fellow about that age in a restaurant today.
