Thankyou for your lovely comments about ...Hi Debra,
Thankyou for your lovely comments about my Mom. She was beautiful even as an old woman. I love the comment about your son being blown away.I'm sure you are still beautiful. My nephew reads my blog to find out things that he never was told about our family. Facebook is another way to get the pictures out of family members. I go there to catch up on my grandkids....and see their latest pictures.

BalishaBalishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17298193443371503407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1526821574480507893.post-61265238475427064422012-10-22T07:56:59.936-05:002012-10-22T07:56:59.936-05:00Hi Still Woods...I'm sorry I don't know yo...Hi Still Woods...I'm sorry I don't know your first name,
Secretly...deep inside....I always wanted a "store bought dress" I didn't realize until much later that I was so lucky to have clothes that were not like all the rest. When I started appreciating her sewing was when I needed a prom dress and she spent hours making a most beautiful dress....not like any of the others. I think that as kids...everyone wants to be the same...look the same, but when you mature you find your own style. I never let her know this.
BalishaBalishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17298193443371503407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1526821574480507893.post-54633251707042156102012-10-21T20:44:19.241-05:002012-10-21T20:44:19.241-05:00Balisha,

I also told her that "homemade" was better and that made her smile. Thank you for sharing your mother's talent with us. I am stopping by from A Favorite Thing Saturday and am your newest follower! Evidently I was quite pretty then and one of my sons was blown away by the picture. LOL! Thanks for the visit.
Balisha

Hi Barbee,
I never thought of the sewing connection when I made the mat. I does seem appropriate.
Balisha

Hi Dottie,
It sounds like your Dad really loved your Mom.
Balisha

Hi Marlu,
Thankyou for your lovely comment. The matting is old and yellowed now, but appropriate for the old picture.
Balisha

Hi Susy,
We were very blessed. I think that so many women in past years were skilled with a needle.
