But this summer I've had enough vegetables from our own garden to keep up with. I think we've just about had our fill of sweet corn and summer squash:)

I grew up the same way as you, Balisha--my mother never threw anything out. I'm not as good as using up leftovers, though; I feel guilty when I clean out the fridge and realize how much we've wasted. I could use some of your tips on using leftover potroast!Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1526821574480507893.post-68711963940133682342013-09-08T11:51:49.008-05:002013-09-08T11:51:49.008-05:00I like the idea of 'planovers' too. I always cook extra, ...planovers....I like that!

I always cook extra, too. It's just too much work to make a homemade meal for two people. Yesterday we made chicken pot pies...took a good two hours. We had them for dinner and froze enough for three more meals.Diana LaMarrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11324428666401187803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1526821574480507893.post-36704224389146024832013-09-07T21:34:54.301-05:002013-09-07T21:34:54.301-05:00I have my head between my tail...I had such good i...I have my head between my tail...I had such good intentions to go to my farmer's market this summer and so missed the mark. One day I went and I was a day off. Another day I went and was an hour off. My sort of luck!

I need to use my crock pot more. Emily made a gorgeous pot roast the other night and I shared it with her as her and my hubby were working late. It's not just for winter and in fact, it sure beats a slow cooked stew in a hot oven for three hours.

I just love BJ and we've been friends for 4 years. I agree about the food and I just love the fun way she writes. I'm glad to see you following her, too!

XO,
JaneBlondie's Journalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12988377413260331618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1526821574480507893.post-90358235615122361962013-09-07T11:51:12.374-05:002013-09-07T11:51:12.374-05:00Balisha, I love the Farmer's Market
